  信号无干扰、网络无缝切换,有一种无线网络的连接方式就能实现这样的效果。它也是纯无线的连接方案。不同的是,它对传统的无线AP(访问接入点)稍作了控制——在上层部署一个交换机,通过配置信道并监控和调配下层多个AP,实现信号无干扰和持续的无线网络连接。

Troubleshooting SCSI issues
===========================================================
  1. To begin troubleshooting, check the following top issues. If your issue is listed, select the link, otherwise proceed to step 2.

    SCSI adapter is not seen during POST/startup
    SCSI adapter is not seen in the operating system
    SCSI device is not seen during POST/startup
    SCSI device is not seen in the operating system
    Operating system not found after adding a SCSI adapter
    POST error 1801 when multiple SCSI adapters installed
    SCSI errors
  2. Check IBM ServerProven to ensure all options are compatible with your system.
  3. Refer to your system's Hardware Maintenance Manual for appropriate installation and removal instructions.
  4. Run diagnostics to test the hardware. If a failure is indicated, use the error code extension to isolate the cause. Complete SCSI device error codes are 12 characters long. The first eight characters of the SCSI error code are for device information - not error information. The error information is in the next four characters (error extension bytes). Failure to use the entire error code may result in incorrect FRU parts replacement.

    • Read errors may be caused by a bad or interrupted write operation if the drive was bumped or power failed during the write operation (sector incompletely written).

      1. If only the data is corrupted, rewriting the data will correct the error.
      2. If the error occurs in the directory or the operating system's file structure, it may be necessary to perform a high-level format (Format C), or even to re-create the partition with FDISK.
      3. If the sector ID is corrupted (ID or Sector Not Found errors), an advanced diagnostic format should be attempted prior to replacement of the fixed disk. The advanced diagnostic format will re-write all sector addresses and data fields. When the format completes, the diagnostics should be re-run. If the diagnostics then run error-free, it is unlikely that a hardware failure has occurred.
    • If failures return after a particular software application has been loaded, it could mean that the software is corrupting the fixed disk. Assistance should be sought from the appropriate software source. Failures may occur during system operation, yet diagnostics might run error-free. This could be due to improper termination (see below for more information on termination).
  5. Check all SCSI IDs. Each device must be set for a unique SCSI ID via jumpers, switches, or remotely with a cable-connected switch. Run 'Set and View SCSI Configuration' from the Configuration menu - to configure new or powered-off devices.
  6. Check that all devices are receiving power:
    1. Is the 'Power Good' (green) light illuminated on the system unit? 'Power Good' is more complex than a 'Power On' light. It indicates that the power supply is delivering all the correct dc output voltages within specifications (that is, +5 Vdc for logic circuits and +12 Vdc for motor circuits, though some SCSI fixed disks may also use +5 Vdc). Any missing or incorrect voltage will cause the system to shut down (self-protect).
    2. Is the power cable connected correctly (that is, not inverted)?
    3. Check whether any contacts have been inadvertently pushed back into the power cable connector. Examine all power cable connections and check whether any female contacts are distorted and thereby making intermittent contact. If so, reform them using the tip of a small screwdriver (or similar tool).
  7. Check that all other connections and cabling are correct:

    1. Ensure that the SCSI adapter is fully seated. Tension on the external SCSI interface cable may cause the SCSI adapter to partially unplug (unseat) from the system board. (Systems jammed against a wall are subject to this).
    2. Ensure both ends of all cables are firmly and properly seated.
  8. Check termination. It is critical that the SCSI Bus is terminated properly. The physical ends of the internal and external SCSI Bus must be terminated at the last device. Devices connected to the middle of the Bus MUST NOT BE TERMINATED.

    1. Terminator types include the following:
      • Socketed DIP (Dual In-line Package) on the adapter
      • Connector plug on the adapter's internal or external connector or cable
      • Two or more socketed SIPs (Single In-line Packages) on a device
      • In-line terminator attached between device and cable
      • Enabled via a jumper
    2. The polarity of terminators must be correct:
      • Pin 1 on DIPs and SIP are usually indicated by a dot or arrow
      • Pin 1 on sockets are usually indicated by a 1, dot, or square solder pad
  9. For a SCSI device to 'come ready' and be configured, the following events must occur:

    1. Upon Power-on Reset, SCSI Post issues an Inquiry command to each SCSI address - to poll all devices present.
    2. All SCSI devices attached to the SCSI Bus must answer with their inquiry data.
    3. A Test Unit Ready command is issued to all devices that responded to the Inquiry command.
    4. If a hard disk drive answers 'Not Ready', a Start Unit command is then issued to sequentially start the drive (Motor Start). The devices must then run 'Self Test' and report their status.
    5. Once the drive is ready, the Read Device Capacity command is issued - to determine the device size for example 320MB, 1GB, etc).
    6. All responding devices are compared with the configuration data.
    7. Post beeps twice and displays errors if there are any new, missing, or defective SCSI devices.
    8. Following a successful Post (one beep), the system will attempt to load the operating system.
  10. If these steps have not solved your problem,

Troubleshooting Hard drive (HDD) issues

Note: Diagnostics must be completed and any error codes or messages noted prior to hard disk drive replacement. Noisy drives are not always defective. Some are just inherently noisy. Compare noise levels against another identical drive with the same field replacement unit (FRU).

ServeRAID disk drive error recovery

The demand for very large drive capacities has created the need to group many physical disks together in the form of arrays and logical drives. It is important to understand certain aspects of hard disk technology to understand the function of synchronization.

While a drive is in manufacturing, a set of low level tests is run against it to establish two internal sector lists. These tests create the "known good sectors" and the "known bad sectors" lists. The hard drive is then locked to their capacity by the firmware installed and defines which sectors become actively available. For example, a 36GB drive may actually accommodate 38GB of usable space. This extra space is listed in the NVRAM of the drive in another list called the "Known good reserved sectors".

光纤凭借其质量小、容量大、传输频带高等特点而成为万兆以太网应用的首选。光收发器主要有两大类:使用多模光纤的发光二极管(LED)和使用单模光纤的激光发光器(Laser)。单模光纤虽然可以满足万兆应用的要求,但是激光发光器成本非常高,而传统的多模光纤只能在几十米的距离内支持万兆传输,无法满足网络主干的应用。为了支持万兆以太网应用,业界开发出VCSEL光源,VCSEL兼具了激光发光器件的性能(如响应速度高、传输光谱窄)和发光二极管的优势(如藕合效率高及成本低廉)。通过优化改进50/125微米光纤与VCSEL配套,可以在850nm波长上10Gb/s应用时支持300米的传输距离,同时在支持千兆应用时,传输距离可以达到900米,而成本相比普通多模光纤增加不多。因此IEEE 在2002 年6 月批准了万兆以太网标准。ISO/IEC 11801也在2002年9月正式颁布了新的多模光纤标准等级,将多模光纤重新分为OM1、OM2和OM3三类,其中OM1指目前传统62.5μm多模光纤,OM2指目前传统50μm多模光纤,OM3就是新增的50μm万兆光纤。传统的62.5μm多模光纤在850nm的带宽只有200MHz,即使在1300nm的带宽也只有 500MHz,根本就无法真正进行万兆传输,而OM3万兆50μm多模光纤在850nm的带宽可以高达2000MHz。

了解一些术语

  1、起始功率:是指光离开光纤发送器时的振幅(能量),为一能量级别通常以相对1毫瓦(DBM)的分贝形式进行计量。
  2、接收灵敏度:光纤接收器探测到一个进来的信号所需要的最小的能量(以相对于一毫瓦的分贝形式进行计量)
  3、接收饱和度:用以定义在对接收器激励过度之前的最大功率输入。对接收器激励过度会导致数据错误或是根本无法探测到任何数据(以相对于一毫瓦的分贝的形式进行计量)
  4、光纤预算:从起始功率中减去接收灵敏度之后的结果。功率预算不是能量的一种计量手段,帮以分贝(DB)的形式进行计量。
  5、衰减:在传输过程中信号强度的降低。衷减是放大的对立面,信号从一点发送到另一点时,衷减是正常的。如果信号衰减太多,则其会变得无法让人理解。这就是为什么大多数网络要求在一定的间隔要有中继器的原因。衷减是以分贝为单位进行计量的。
  6、模态色散(或是复合模态色散):在多模光纤中发生,因为光是在多模方式下传送(反射路径),而每一条路径都会导致一个不同的传送距离。模态色散是多模光纤中一个主要的距离局限因素。
